ONE
ONE was created for my Final Year Project at Multimedia University, Malaysia. It is a simple visual exploration of the chain linking all life and our transient relationships with the environment. The entire production process took about 4 months from concept to compositing. It included lots of painful hours observing many animals and animating them realistically but I had fun :).
Current Work
Currently very into identity and logo design and the occasional web job.

About Me
Hello there. My name is Dennis Lee. I am a motion and print designer based in Malaysia.
I am passionate about design and I love all things beautiful, though at times, what I think is beautiful can be pretty subjective. I'm a 'contemporary modern' type of designer most of the time but as I discover more and more design styles out there, I am more inclined to say "heck, I'll just take everything." Currently, I'm a struggling artist trying to find his place (and fame and money) in the world. Armed with a Nikon D70s, I often photograph the same scene a thousand times to find a winning shot. Look at my photos in Flickr if you have the time to spare.
I live in warm, tropical Malaysia where (good) food is plentiful and there are a thousand things to see and do. I can go out in just casual clothes at all times of the year... unlike some people in certain parts of the world (wish there wasn't snow eh?). I love books about design (what else), good novels, awesome and inspiring people, ambient or acoustic music and aged paper. That's it! Have fun looking at my work, people!

This is a compilation of the work I did in 2007. It's a mix of school projects, personal experiments and some happy accidents. Done using Autodesk Maya and Adobe After Effects. An updated reel is pending.

BMW Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope was a motion piece for a video backdrop at a BMW event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was done during my internship at MFX. A few of the ideas and techniques in this piece were contributed by the head of the MFX design department.

Chelsea Pensioners 'Noble Gardens' Book Launch
This was my last motion work during my internship at MFX. This project was created for the 'Noble Gardens of Asia' book launch in the UK. I had a big hand in the completion of this piece from concept to the final revision.
